The TriHealth Hatton Research Institute, TriHealth's research center, provides space for supporting leading edge research and enhancing opportunities for research and education through state of the art facilities that include biomedical bench research laboratories, a minimally invasive surgery training center with simulators and dedicated robotic da Vinci surgical systems, and conference rooms fully equipped with audiovisual technologies wired directly to hospital operating rooms.

Good Samaritan Hospital and its Department of Surgery now own multiple da Vinci surgical systems, with a variety of uses employed in the areas of cardiothoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology. With ongoing robotic research occurring in the Hatton Research Institute, surgical teams, both nationally and internationally, have traveled to Good Samaritan Hospital to learn how to use and perfect their techniques on the da Vinci surgical system.
