Mark Albright PharmD, BCCPRotations: General Cardiology (PGY1), Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Failure Clinic Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Ohio State University) Residency: PGY1 and PGY2 Cardiology at University of Virginia Medical Center About: Dr. Albright started at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in 2021 after completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. His current role is clinical pharmacist with the majority of his time spent working on the advanced heart failure service, Cardiovascular ICU, and telemetry units. Mark is extremely excited to help the advanced heart failure service line, cardiology pharmacy residency program, and the individual pharmacy residents develop and mature over time. It is one of the most satisfying and rewarding parts of the job. Mark earned his undergraduate and PharmD degrees from Ohio State (Go Bucks!) and always enjoy cheering on the Buckeyes, Reds, and Blue Jackets outside of work. |
Taha Alhayani, PharmD, BCPSRotation: Internal Medicine (PGY1 & PGY2 IM), Diabetes Management (PGY2 IM), Residency Project (PGY2 IM) Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – University of Cincinnati (2020); PGY1 – UC Medical Center (2021); PGY2 Internal Medicine – Good Samaritan TriHealth Hospital (2022) About: Dr. Alhayani has been with TriHealth since 2021, completing his Internal Medicine PGY2 pharmacy residency with our program before joining our team as an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. He also serves as the Residency Program Coordinator for the PGY2 IM program. He received a BS in Chemistry and PharmD from the University of Cincinnati. He is originally from Iraq and has called Cincinnati his home for more than 8 years. Outside of work, he is passionate about soccer, video games, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. |
Amneh Alzatout, PharmD, BCPSRotation: Internal Medicine (PGY2 IM), Orientation (PGY2 IM), Weekend Practice Staffing (PGY2 IM) Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – University of Cincinnati (2020); PGY1 Residency – UC Health – West Chester Hospital (2021); PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency – The Christ Hospital (2022) About: Directly after completing her two years of residency, Dr. Alzatout joined Good Samaritan Hospital as an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in 2022. Within pharmacy she has a passion for transitions of care, diversity/inclusion, diabetes management, and gastroenterology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and hanging out with friends and family (including her two cats, Samour and Maui). |
Kimberly Arvin PharmD, BCACPRotations: Populations Health (PGY2 Cardiology) Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (UC James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy – 2011) Residency: PGY1 Community Residency Program with Kroger Health/ University of Cincinnati About: Kim has been a pharmacist since 2011 and joined the Population Health team at TriHealth in 2019. Kim works as one of our Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacists providing medication management services for our primary care physician offices. Prior to joining TriHealth, Kim worked at UC Health in the outpatient pharmacy providing medication management, pharmacotherapy and “meds to beds” services. She also worked as a Pharmacy Manager at Kroger and provided medication and disease management services as a part of their clinical services. |
Emily Beasley, PharmD, BCPSRotation: Emergency Medicine Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – Ohio Northern University (2018); PGY1 – University of Toledo Medical Center (2019) About: After playing volleyball for the Polar Bears while earning her PharmD at ONU, Dr. Beasley completed her PGY1 residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She then went on to become a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in North Carolina, covering the intensive care units, emergency department, and operating rooms. She is passionate about critical care, emergency medicine, and multidisciplinary education. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and supporting local sports teams. |
Shirin Bigdeliazari, PharmD, MBARotation: Pharmacogenomics Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy & Master of Business Administration – University of Kentucky (2020); PGY1 Good Samaritan TriHealth Hospital (2021) About: Dr. Bigdeliazari has been with TriHealth since graduating from University of Kentucky in 2020. After completion of her PGY1 residency at Good Samaritan, Dr. Bigdeliazari joined the TriHealth Precision Medicine team as the Pharmacogenomics Clinical Coordinator. During her PGY1 year, she gravitated towards pharmacogenomics and obtained a certification in PGx which prepared her well for her current role as a pharmacogenomics pharmacist. She is passionate about direct patient care, bridging the gap between science and clinical practice, and precepting students and residents. |
Jacob Cannan, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCPRotation: Neurovascular Intensive Care Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Ohio Northern University – 2011) About: Dr. Cannan joined the clinical ranks of Good Samaritan Pharmacy in 2018 and has quickly become a leader within the department. As a versatile, critical-care-oriented pharmacist, Dr. Cannan serves as a dedicated specialist on the neurovascular critical care team. |
Melvi Chacko, PharmD, BCOPRotation: Hematology/Oncology; Bone Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – The Ohio State University; PGY1 Residency – St. Elizabeth Healthcare (2018); PGY2 Oncology Residency – St. Elizabeth Healthcare (2019) About: Dr. Chacko has been with TriHealth since 2021 serving as the pharmacy clinical coordinator for cellular therapy. She was heavily involved in building the TriHealth cellular therapy service line and currently manages cellular therapy patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Chacko has taken ownership of her role and enjoys being part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, bike riding, and trying out new restaurants. |
Beth Dunkel, PharmD, BCPSRotation: Neonatal Intensive Care, Obstetrics & Antepartum Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – University of Cincinnati (2011) About: Dr. Dunkel initially began her pharmacy career with Trihealth in 2006 as a pharmacy technician/intern. Following graduation, she stayed on board as a clinical pharmacist and discovered her passion for neonatal intensive care. Given her years of experience working in the pharmacy department, Dr. Dunkel is knowledgeable of pharmacy operations and enjoys sharing her expertise when onboarding PGY1 residents. |
Colin Fitzgerrel, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDPRotation: Infectious Diseases, Resident Research Project Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Purdue University – 2007); PGY1 Residency – Morton Plant Hospital (2008) About: Dr. Fitzgerrel has been with TriHealth since 2014 after spending many years as a critical care pharmacist in Clearwater, Florida. Since leaving bedside care, he served as the GSH department clinical coordinator and PGY1 RPD for 8 years before taking on the role of system manager of clinical pharmacy services. Dr. Fitzgerrel focuses his efforts on drug policy development, clinical service line expansion, and staff development. |
Mike Friebe, PharmDRotation: Pharmacy Informatics Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – The Ohio State University (2018); PGY1 Residency – Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital (2019); PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency – Lipscomb University/Vanderbilt University Medical Center About: Dr. Friebe joined TriHealth Pharmacy in 2020. He is passionate about bridging the gap between technology and healthcare. He is part of the pharmacy informatics team, which works closely with pharmacy operations and clinical coordinators to determine the best ways to configure Epic and various automation systems to ensure TriHealth can provide safe, high-quality medication therapy to its patients. |
Alexander Gray PharmD, BCPS, BCCPRotations: General Cardiology (PGY1 & PGY2 Cardiology), Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Failure Clinic, Administration (PGY2 Cardiology) Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Ohio Northern University – 2013) Residency: Henry Ford Allegiance Health – Jackson, MI (2014) About: Dr. Gray joined TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in 2014 after completion of his PGY1 residency. After working as a clinical pharmacist for 5 years, he officially started the PGY2 Cardiology program and moved into his current position of Cardiology Clinical Coordinator. What Alex enjoys most about working at TriHealth is the opportunity to grow and build a program from the ground up. Alex also enjoys his great co-workers who make coming to work even more fun. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys soccer, a lot, including playing in recreation leagues and going to FC Cincinnati games. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, including his three children. |
Eric Hugenberg, PharmDRotation: Critical Care Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy - Creighton University (2019) Residency: PGY1 and PGY2 Emergency Medicine - Hackensack University Medical Center (2020, 2021) About: Originally from the Chicago area, Dr. Hugenberg completed pharmacy school in Omaha, Nebraska, then went on to New Jersey for residency. After residency, he made his way back to Omaha to work as an Emergency Medicine (EM) Pharmacist. He joined the Good Sam pharmacy team in early 2024 as the first EM Clinical Pharmacist Specialist. His favorite things about EM are the fast-paced environment, disease state variety, and working side-by-side with nurses and providers. He has been precepting pharmacy residents and students since he started his first EM specialist position in 2021, and he is excited about the opportunity to continue precepting at Good Sam. During his free time, he likes to try new restaurants/bars and spend time with friends and family. He is also an avid traveler and tries to explore new places every chance he gets. |
Rebecca McKinney, PharmD, BCPSRotation: Behavioral Health, orientation Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – University of Findlay (2018); PGY1 St. Elizabeth Healthcare (2019) About: Dr. McKinney completed her PGY1 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and started as a clinical pharmacist at TriHealth shortly after. After being one of the first pharmacists to represent our department on the interdisciplinary team for the behavioral health unit, she is now the primary preceptor for the behavioral health rotation. Dr. McKinney is now working as the Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator and as the PGY1 Residency Program Director. She enjoys spending time with her family outside of the hospital. |
Nate Miller PharmD, BCPS, BCOPRotations: Hematology/Oncology Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (UC James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy) Residency: PGY1 - Bethesda North Hospital (2018) About: Dr. Miller was born and raised in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati. He spent 4 years in Brunswick, Maine for his undergraduate education and obtained a bachelor’s in chemistry. After enduring dozens of snowstorms and eating countless lobster rolls in the Pine Tree State, Nate returned to his more temperate hometown to pursue a career pharmacy. He completed a PGY1 residency at Bethesda North Hospital and then stayed on to be a clinical pharmacist working mainly with the antimicrobial stewardship team and in the medical oncology unit. In 2021, Nate transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital to assume a lead role within the hematology/oncology service line. |

He completed both his PGY1 residency and PGY2 Internal Medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital. After initially joining the internal medicine team upon completion of his residency training, he transitioned to the role of Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for the Faculty Medical Center, our on-site internal medicine clinic. |

She took on the role of Cardiology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist where she spends her time working with the Advanced Heart Failure service and Cardiovascular ICU. She is excited for the opportunity to precept learners of all backgrounds and to help grow the residency program and research curriculum. She also serves as the PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, which was founded in 2019.. She is a truly passionate teacher as evidenced by the volume of student pharmacists and residents she educates on an annual basis, and by her recognition by the University of Cincinnati as Preceptor of the Year. |
Nancy Wuestefeld, PharmD, BCCCPRotation: Medical Intensive Care (PGY1 and PGY2 IM), Nephrology (PGY2 IM) Training & Education: Doctor of Pharmacy – Butler University (2000); PGY1 Residency – University of Cincinnati Medical Center (2001) About: Dr. Wuestefeld serves as the clinical pharmacist of Good Samaritan’s medical-surgical intensive care unit, and is the pharmacy representative for many interdisciplinary committees. As a former clinical coordinator, Dr. Wuestefeld’s knowledge of clinical practice and system processes are readily apparent to our residents. Her dedication to their professional growth leads to frequent requests to repeat this required learning experience. |
