PGY2 Pharmacy Cardiology residency program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in Cardiology. This PGY2 cardiology residency provides residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings.
Residents who successfully complete this PGY2 pharmacy cardiology residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification.

Other electives may be taken into consideration depending on the resident’s learning goals and the site’s ability to provide a qualified rotation.
Applicants must be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited degree program, be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio, and a current resident or graduated from an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.
Bethesda North Hospital participates in the Resident Matching Program and The Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). Applicants must abide by all rules and regulations of the Resident Matching Program and PhORCAS.
The complete application packet must be submitted via PhORCAS by January 6.
Potential candidates will be invited for an on-site interview, or virtual interviews will be offered as requested.
