Corinne Gilardi MHS, RDN, LD

Nutrition and Dietetics

Corinne started working at TriHealth in 2021 and joined the dietitian team at the TriHealth Cancer and Blood Institute in 2023. Corinne has been a Registered and Licensed Dietitian since 2017 and has worked in a variety of patient populations, including food service for college students, pregnancy and breastfeeding nutrition, infant and childhood nutrition, and cardiovascular nutrition health. Corinne has a passion to make nutrition easy to understand and meals enjoyable for patients, regardless of their diagnosis and dietary limitations.

Lori Purtell, RDN, LD

Oncology Nutrition

Lori Purtell has been a registered and licensed dietitian for almost 30 years. She has worked as both an inpatient and outpatient dietitian in the areas of diabetes, dialysis, cardiology, oncology, short term skilled care and intensive care. A native of Shrewsbury Massachusetts, Lori graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts. She completed her internship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Lori has a strong interest in wellness and believes that nutrition, exercise and lifestyle have a significant impact on our health and wellbeing.

Nicola Rebello-Johnson, RND, LD

MS, Nutrition Education; BS, Nutrition; AA, Hotel and Restaurant Management
Oncology Nutrition

Nicola joined the TriHealth Cancer and Blood Institute in September 2016 and has over 35 years of experience in a variety of nutrition areas. Prior to Trihealth, Nicola shared her passion for health and wellness by providing medical nutrition therapy for clients in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, group homes and in private homes. Nicola also conducted healthy eating cooking demonstrations for local YMCAs. A foodie herself she shares her passion for food with her patients, providing recipes, encouraging patients to change the flavor and consistency of foods to make it more palatable for them to improve their overall health.

Hayley Richardson, RND, LD

Originally form Cincinnati, Hayley completed her Associate of Science at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, and her Bachelor of Science in Clinical and Community Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Cincinnati. Hayley also completed her Dietetic Supervised Practice in Cincinnati. Her locations included The Christ Hospital, The VA Hospital of Cincinnati, UC Health, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, where her focus was oncology.

Nancy Schmidt, MEd, RDN, LD

Oncology Nutrition

Nancy is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the field of nutrition for over 35 years in a variety of nutrition settings including oncology nutrition, outpatient nutrition counseling, inpatient clinical nutrition, wellness and community nutrition. She also taught nutrition courses at Miami University in Oxford and helped train future dietitians working as an internship preceptor while working as a clinical dietitian. Her goal is to help improve the health of each patient she sees by providing guidance and support to optimize nutrition health and wellness. She believes in providing individualized care, helping patients recognize the benefits of change and working closely with the healthcare team so patients have the best possible outcome.

Kayla Schnepel, MPPD, RDN, CSO, LD

Oncology Nutrition

Kayla Schnepel jointed Trihealth Cancer and Blood Institute in 2021 as a Clinical Dietitian. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nutrition from East Tennessee State University in 2019 and completed her dietetic internship and Master’s of Professional Practice in Dietetics through Iowa State University in 2021. Prior to joining TCBI, Kayla worked in long-term care where she was able to assist residents with a variety of nutritional needs. After joining TCBI, Kayla obtained her Certification as a Specialist in Oncology Nutrition from the Commission of Dietetic Registration in 2023. Her passions include making food enjoyable and easy while supporting each patient’s well-being through individualized nutrition therapy.
