Dedicated Teams

STroke And NeuroSciences Emergencies Team (STANSE team)

At TriHealth we committed to providing advanced, quality, and timely neurologic care to patients throughout the greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky area. To accomplish this goal, our stroke program utilizes video technology to perform emergency tele-stroke consultations to our TriHealth facilities.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our neurocritical care providers, who specialize in vascular neurology, are ready to interact with patients, families, and medical providers using real time video connection, as well as review brain imaging and other data to make time sensitive decisions regarding acute stroke interventions such as intravenous thrombolysis and/or endovascular therapy. Our STANSE providers will help initiate timely transfers to Good Samaritan Hospital or other regional hospitals, if indicated, based on patient factors; alternatively, the STANSE Team provides a ongoing follow-up consultations as needed to coordinate care with the local providers if patients remain at their original site.

Good Sam treated me immediately. They were so quick, and I’m thankful because I didn’t realize just how important time was in treating a stroke.
