Visiting Loved Ones at TriHealth: What You Need to Know

Policy takes effect on September 1, 2025

Effective September 1, 2025, TriHealth’s new general visiting hours are 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily at Bethesda North Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda Butler Hospital, and McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.

Between the hours of 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, each patient will be permitted one approved visitor.

Additionally, many lobbies across TriHealth hospitals will now be closed outside of general visiting hours and entrance doors will be locked.

  • Bethesda North Hospital: The main lobby will be locked at 9:00 PM daily. Visitors may access the hospital through the ED lobby between the hours of 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
  • Good Samaritan Hospital: The Clifton lobby will be locked at 9:00 PM daily. Visitors may access the hospital through the Dixmyth lobby or ED between 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
  • Bethesda Butler Hospital: The main lobby doors will be locked between the hours of 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM on weekdays, and 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM on weekends and holidays. Visitors may access the hospital by contacting Protective Services.
  • McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital: The main lobby doors will be locked between the hours of 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM on weekdays, and from 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM on weekends and holidays. Visitors may access the hospital through the ED lobby.

Exceptions for the general visiting hours apply to Maternity Services/LDR, Adult Behavioral Health and Hospice, and those approved by the care team, house supervisor and Protective Services onsite leadership.

We recognize the positive impact visitors have for our patients. The revised general visiting hours will help maintain this compassionate healing environment for patients and visitors alike while enhancing a safe work and practice environment for TriHealth team members and providers.

The revised general visitor policy goes into effect on September 1, 2025.
