Our customized Medically Integrated Exercise programs are designed for individuals who are living with chronic disease, managing medical conditions, have recently completed therapy, who may need strengthening prior to surgery or special condition requiring additional support. Physician referrals are accepted, however they are not required for all programs. Each program includes membership access to the TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion.
All our programs are facilitated by our team of Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC), Dietitians (RD), and Medical Exercise Specialists (ACSM-EIM). We are the only program in the region to offer a full-service medical exercise experience, facilitated by licensed and credentialed team members.
Designed for patients who want an individualized experience and customized program to follow on their schedule. Over the course of 12 weeks, individuals receive 6 hours of clinical personal training and a personalized plan to follow between sessions.
This program is a small group, guided option that meets twice per week for 12 weeks. Over the course of the program, participants will learn and experience the basics of movement, nutrition, and stress relief techniques with others working towards the same goals. MedEx RX has 8 medical pathways for patients:
Autoimmune, Cardiac Health, Diabetes, Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Pulmonary, Weight Management, Others.
Weeks 1-3: Participants will begin in a safe, structured, supportive program.
Weeks 4-6: Build community with other participants through shared exercise and education.
Weeks 7-9: Grow confidence in center-wide exploration and enjoy new experiences.
Weeks 10-12: Increase independence to continue your exercise journey.
This small group exercise class led by Cancer Exercise Specialist is for individuals currently undergoing treatment or who have completed treatment in the past year. This program is sponsored by the Bethesda Foundation and complimentary to patients in the community.
In partnership with HealthOne, we offer a 20-week dietitian led meal replacement program for those patients looking for medically supervised weight loss. To qualify, individuals must have a BMI greater than 27.
Momentum is a 12-week behaviorally based nutrition and movement program with meeting once per week each with a Registered Dietitian and an exercise specialist.
For graduates from either program, Strides is an ongoing support group for those wanting continued accountability throughout the year.
Medical Group Exercise is included in all the above programs, or as a stand-alone option for those embarking on an individualized program.
