Sports Medicine Fellowship

The Bethesda Family Medicine Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one year clinical fellowship fully accredited by the ACGME. Two fellows per year are chosen through the NRMP match process. The program features a partnership between the Bethesda Family Medicine Residency Program and Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. This partnership allows our fellows access to a state-of-the-art facility with on-site musculoskeletal ultrasound, physical therapy, physical medicine services, radiology services including MRI, and two operating rooms with viewing rooms.

Our fellows serve as team physicians at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Fellows are expected to take an active teaching role with residents and medical students at the Bethesda Family Medicine Center. Upon completion of the fellowship, graduates will be eligible to take the exam for a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.

Application and Curriculum

At the TriHealth Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, our goal is to educate fellows in a challenging environment that cultivates learning and development. Our faculty does more than provide a well-rounded education; they strive to instill the value of patient-centered, coordinated care in every fellow.
