With a strong desire to help people, Dr. Samantha Mullan also likes the intellectual challenge that medicine provides. As a medical student, she helped deliver her sister’s baby and fell in love with the connection created through the birth process. She truly values being trusted to care for patients during their most vulnerable moments.
Dr. Mullan sees expectant mothers with conditions that may put their pregnancies at risk, including diabetes, high blood pressure and other complications. She has a special interest in congenital and acquired heart disease and patients with blood disorders. She creates a comfortable environment where patients may feel safe asking questions. She believes that, through confidential discussions about high-risk conditions, she can help make the birth an incredible and beautiful experience, even if not what was originally envisioned. She encourages everyone to invest in themselves by addressing health issues to improve outcomes and life in general.
A native of Cincinnati, Dr. Mullan is married with two children. She enjoys running, cooking, gardening and reading.
