Throughout his successful professional career as an engineer, Ronald Merkel, MD, was interested in merging his love of engineering with his passion for medicine. This was my initial visit to Dr. Merkel and I was so happy that a family member recommended him to me. He listened to me and answered my questions in a kind and caring manner. He seemed to be genuinely concerned about my health and what I was saying. My previous pelvic exams were quite painful, making me dread going for my annual check. Dr. Merkel was so gentle with the exam, it was absolutely painless, I no longer will have to dread this appointment. He seems to be a great doctor with a great bedside manner, which is rare these days! I consider myself lucky to have found him.

He had clearly reviewed my file and was familiar with my history and diagnosis before coming in the room. He was very knowledgeable on my questions, and really helped me understand my options before recommending a plan. I will be making it a point to schedule with Dr Merkel in the future.
