For Dr. Nafeh Fananapazir, medicine perfectly combines his love of science with his love of working with and helping others. He chose pediatrics because he enjoys working with children and their parents through all stages of development, while making a positive difference in their overall happiness and well-being.
Dr. Fananapazir sees patients from newborn through college age for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based and family-centered medicine. His experience in pediatric emergency medicine gives him a unique perspective in treating illnesses and deciding when a specialist or emergency room visit is needed. This includes performing basic procedures such as stitches, splinting and minor injury care. With an eye on building healthy habits for life, he encourages everyone to recognize the role of prevention in both physical and mental health.
Married to a pediatric nurse practitioner, they have three children with three very different personalities that keep them humble in remembering that every child is unique. Dr. Fananapazir’s family enjoys the outdoors, travel, movies and the local arts scene.
