Dr. Kamali Bouvay has always known she wanted to
work with kids, but it was a TV show about operations
that sparked her interest in medicine. She enjoys
taking care of children, watching them grow, develop
personalities and reach new milestones. She loves using
her knowledge and experience while engaging families’
perspectives and values to promote health in children.
Dr. Bouvay sees children from birth through college age
for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute
and chronic illness. She brings 15 years of experience
working in the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical
Center emergency department to her practice at
TriHealth. Dr. Bouvay creates a safe space where families
and patients can feel heard. While practicing evidencebased
medicine, she collaborates with families to
assure the best action with a practical approach. She
encourages everyone to give themselves some grace in
decision-making, recognizing there are a few hard and
fast rules, but every child is different.
Married with two children, Dr. Bouvay loves family game
night, basketball, reading, cooking and baking. She is a
member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., an African
American organization dedicated to public service.
