During this cost-cutting pandemic time, a concerning trend has developed of patients seeking reconstructive and plastic surgery travelling abroad where they can get a procedure at a lower cost. This practice, however, brings certain risks, which can not only impact the effectiveness of their surgery, but also prove to be harmful to the patients’ health. In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis speaks with William Tobler Jr. MD, a plastic surgeon with the TriHealth Cosmetic Surgery & Rejuvenation Center, who talks about the risks and how to avoid them, and Dr. Tobler’s patient, Trina, who shares her story about how her own savings came at a high price.
