From childhood, Dr. Mali Jurkowski has had a desire to help people navigate through challenging times, which led her to medicine. She appreciates the broad scope of clinical practice and knowledge found in internal medicine. Her passion for women’s health – and preventive medicine in particular – blossomed when she volunteered at a clinic for underserved women while in medical school. She considers it a privilege to care for others and to get to know their stories.
Dr. Jurkowski sees adult patients for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. She values empathy and compassion, creating an environment where her patients are heard. She believes in taking time to understand her patients and their needs, working with them to set realistic health goals. She encourages everyone to take ownership of their personal health and make positive changes to live better.
Dr. Jurkowski grew up in New York City. She is married to a physician and they have a daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the zoo, hiking, cooking and reading.
