Dr. Iris Lin became interested in medicine after working on medical engineering projects during college. In medical school, she was drawn to neurology because of the fascinating disorders. She also enjoys the puzzle-solving aspect of the specialty. She is passionate about neurological movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, tremors and dystonia.
Dr. Lin believes in approaching every patient interaction with empathy, careful listening and a focus on quality of life. She thinks it is important to educate patients and empower them to be active participants in their own health journeys. She finds that inclusion of the patient’s family in the healthcare team usually results in the best outcomes. Dr. Lin would like to encourage all patients to incorporate regular physical exercise to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Lin is originally from Alabama, but is excited to settle in and engage the Cincinnati community. She owns two pet guinea pigs, who are afraid of her significant other’s two pet cats. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, reading scifi and fantasy books, trying out new recipes and tending to her many houseplants.
