The satisfaction of solving problems while helping people brought Dr. Palacio-Bedoya to medicine. He values the opportunity to make a significant impact on a patient’s lifestyle, emphasizing that many times an infectious disease can be addressed immediately with a positive outcome.
With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Palacio-Bedoya diagnoses and treats adult patients with infectious diseases and complicated infections. Since 2016, he has been dedicated to the research and treatment of musculoskeletal infections that involve bone and soft tissues. He taught at both Emory University and the University of Cincinnati, where he worked with the Cincinnati Center for Bone Infection to develop a multidisciplinary approach to addressing acute and chronic orthopedic infections. Dr. Palacio-Bedoya in believes meeting his patients where they are and listening carefully to determine their individual needs and concerns.
Dr. Palacio-Bedoya and his wife, also a physician, have two children. A stay in Cincinnati for his wife’s fellowship at Children’s Hospital clinched their desire to make the area home. He enjoys swimming, road cycling and reading.
