Dr. Patel sees adult patients for a range of infectious diseases including urinary tract infections, bloodstream infections, bone and joint infections, pulmonary infections, bacterial and viral infections, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Patel is a Cincinnati native who has returned to her hometown to practice medicine at Trihealth. She earned her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati then went on to complete her internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she focused on global health care. She worked in hospitals in Mozambique and Malawi where she practiced clinical medicine and taught medical students. Dr. Patel completed her sub-specialty training in Infectious Diseases at Emory University. During fellowship, she earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Research and engaged in research on HIV prevention.
Dr. Patel thrives on solving complex medical cases and helping people improve their health. She is honest with her patients, listens carefully to their needs and works with them to develop the best approach to heal physically and mentally. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dog, running, and exploring new restaurants.
