Growing up, Liz Salyers, CNP, was intrigued by the medical field. She first started working in veterinary medicine as a teenager and quickly turned her focus on becoming a nurse, a decision she has never regretted.
Liz developed a passion for acute stroke care during her time as an emergency department nurse. She also served as stroke coordinator for Bethesda Butler Hospital and Bethesda Arrow Springs. In these roles. Liz played an instrumental part in many of TriHealth's successful Stroke Certification's through the Joint Commission. Fascinated by the brain and its impact on everyday functions. she focused her attention on neurology during her master's degree clinical hours.
As a nurse practitioner, Liz sees adult patients with neurological disorders. She has a special interest and additional training in the care of patients who have had a stroke or are at risk for stroke. She creates a safe environment for her patients and takes time to listen. She encourages everyone to identify their stroke risk factors and address what they can to avoid future problems.
A Cincinnati native. Liz loves spending time with her son and two dogs. She is a search-and-rescue canine handler and volunteers her time to find missing people.
