Dr. Kristen Coleman saw a number of doctors as a child,
which kick-started her interest in becoming a physician
herself. Surgery satisfied her desire to offer patients a
definitive fix for a problem. She now specializes in colon
and rectal surgery, due to the broad range of conditions
and procedures involved. She values the team approach,
working closely with multiple specialists to tailor each
patient’s treatment plan.
As a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon,
Dr Coleman sees adults to diagnose and treat conditions
of the lower gastrointestinal tract, including the colon,
rectum and anus. She builds trusting relationships
with her patients, letting them know they are heard,
respected and cared for. She believes in shared
decision-making and provides her patients with the
information and options they need to choose the
appropriate treatment plan. She encourages everyone
to eliminate ultra-processed foods and stay active to
promote gut health.
An Indiana native, Dr. Coleman enjoys quality time
with friends and family, exercising, reading and being
outdoors.
