Dr. Jacob Williams enjoys working with people and problem-solving, which led him to pursue a career in medicine. He chose to specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation because of the focus on function and functional goals.
As a physiatrist, Dr. Williams diagnoses and treats medical conditions affecting the brain, spine, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons. Typically, this entails restoring function for people who have been disabled as a result of a disease, disorder, or injury. Dr. Williams takes time to get to know his patients and their goals – whether that’s getting back to athletic activities or just moving around easier. He likes to collaborate with his patients to design comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that specifically work for them. He encourages everyone to incorporate some sort physical activity in daily life to improve long-term health and well-being.
A native of Cleveland, OH, Dr. Williams is married. He enjoys cooking, cycling and hiking with his dog.
