About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine
  • Interventional Pain Medicine
  • Pain Medicine

Dr. Daniel Johns always wanted to be a doctor. He chose to specialize in anesthesiology and went on to serve a fellowship in pain management. He loves making a significant difference in the quality of his patients’ lives as their pain control improves. He appreciates the new and innovative developments being made in the field, emphasizing how therapies have vastly improved over the past decade and take a multi-faceted approach, rather than depending on medications.

Dr. Johns sees patients for the diagnosis and treatment of back and neck pain, nerve pain and neuromodulation. He takes a multimodal approach to pain management, using advanced interventional pain procedures, medications, and physical therapy. Dr. Johns also uses kyphoplasty, a minimally invasive procedure, for vertebral compression fractures. He creates a welcoming and supportive environment. He encourages everyone to focus on maintaining a healthy weight, recognizing how excess pounds can intensify pain.

Dr. Johns grew up in Loveland and attended St. Xavier High School. He is married to Ali Johns, MD, an endocrinologist. They are runners and have participated in the Flying Pig Marathon. He enjoys spending time with their two children and traveling.
