After earning a PhD in nanotechnology, Dr. Rabatic found he wanted to have an immediate impact on patient care. It was during his medical training that he discovered a genuine fondness for cancer patients and realized that radiation oncology pairs his love of science with his desire to help.
Dr. Rabatic uses radiation, also called radiotherapy to treat cancer patients. His clinical research has focused on head and neck, gynecologic and prostate cancers, but his interest spans all malignancies and brachytherapy. He firmly believes in a collaborative approach between medical teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. In looking to the future, he is particularly interested in using nanotechnology to selectively and directly target cancerous cells.
Dr. Rabatic takes an open and honest approach with his patients, carefully laying out expectations and what they may expect during treatment and beyond. He strives to create a comfortable environment for open conversation, which ultimately delivers the best possible clinical outcomes. He encourages everyone to stay active and urges his patients to not let the diagnosis of cancer define their lives.
