Betsy Larder DO received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. She went to medical school at Rocky Vista University in Colorado. During medical school, she was awarded the American Osteopathic Foundation Welch Scholars Grant for excellence in academic tutoring and leadership, and the Superior Achievement award for outstanding compassion, professionalism, and academic excellence in clinical medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she was awarded the James M. Huey Award by the Cincinnati VA for excellent patient centered and inter-professional care. She worked for TriHealth as an ICU hospitalist, where she fell further in love with critical care. She then completed her fellowship in neurocritical care and neurovascular emergencies at the University of Cincinnati. She has a passion for reaching patients of all backgrounds, and her favorite thing to do is sit down in a patient’s room and get to know them. She is married to Dr. Anthony Larder, who is a radiologist. On their days off they enjoy hiking, biking, road trips and spending time with their dog
