Health Talk Live: Back to School and Existing Vaccinations During COVID-19

One of the big questions surrounding COVID-19 is when and how children will return to school for the new academic year, and how best to protect not only their health, but that of their families, teachers and other school staff.

In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis shares recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics on keeping schools safe when re-opening. Liz provides the latest outlook from Stephen Blatt, MD, Director for Infectious Diseases with TriHealth Physician Partners, and speaks with Robyn Gorman MD, a pediatrician with TriHealth who talks about the return to school and the concerning trend of a rising number of children who have not kept up with existing recommended vaccines. Dr. Gorman explains the risks of this trend when children do return to the classroom.
