Since 1968, the Cincinnati Enquirer has recognized leading women across Cincinnati who truly strive to better their community and improve the lives of their neighbors with their Women of the Year Award.
This year, we are extremely proud to announce that Jeanette Altenau, TriHealth’s Director of Community Relations and Government Affairs, has been named as one of the incredible women featured in the 56th iteration of this honor!
Jeanette oversees many of our organizational relationships and is heavily involved with TriHealth’s interaction with community partners such as the Cincinnati Reds, the Aronoff Center and The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati just to name a few!
In 2016, she launched Men Wear Pink Cincinnati, part of a national awareness and fundraising initiative by the American Cancer Society to increase male involvement in fighting breast cancer. This effort alongside ACS has made a tremendous impact around Cincinnati, with the campaign expected to cross the $2 million mark in cancer fundraising this year.
Jeanette’s involvement in the Cincinnati community stretches beyond TriHealth, as well. In addition to her expansive role with us, Jeanette is committed to making the city she loves a better place to live as evidenced by her leadership across the region. She currently serves on the board of directors for American Cancer Society, Blue Line Foundation, Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Arts Association, Interact for Health, The Library Foundation of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and Spirit of Cincinnatus.
Thank you Jeanette for all the incredible work you do, not only for us at TriHealth but everywhere you go in the Cincinnati community – TriHealth is thrilled to see our team members be recognized externally for living our values by seeing, hearing, and healing the Cincinnati community.
