Always intrigued by life sciences, Dr. Siddharth Shankar naturally gravitated to medicine as a career and chose internal medicine for the uniquely diverse conditions and patients he gets to encounter. He is dedicated to helping people feel better and live better. He also enjoys the challenge of staying on the cutting edge in a constantly changing field.

Dr. Shankar sees adults for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. He is particularly interested in preventive care and metabolic disease management, including hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Shankar takes a conversational approach during visits, helping patients feel comfortable in sharing their needs and concerns. He encourages everyone to learn more about their own health, believing the key to good health is awareness and understanding of one’s body.

Originally from Dallas, TX, Dr. Shankar enjoys volunteering at children’s sporting events. He loves movies, sports and gardening. He also likes cooking and trying new recipes.
