An advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist, Dr. Kesari is the medical director of the Advanced Heart Failure (ADHF), MCS/LVAD, and Pulmonary Hypertension programs at the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute. He has been instrumental in developing the LVAD program, Myocardial Recovery program, Pulmonary Hypertension program, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy clinic, Heart Failure Readmission program, and Virtual Heart Failure clinic at TriHealth.

Dr. Kesari began his Heart Failure career as a Cardiovascular Research Fellow at Harvard School of Public Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.

Taking a holistic approach to patient care, Dr. Kesari and his team work to understand patients’ symptoms, disease, values, and goals to formulate individualized treatment plans. The TriHealth ADHF clinic leverages state of the art technology with a team-based approach to enhance patient-provider communication and deliver superior care. The ADHF clinic has a multi-disciplinary approach with the help of dieticians, social workers, genetic counselors, nurses, medical assistants, VAD coordinators, palliative care physicians, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners/physician assistants.

Dr. Kesari is involved in international Heart Failure/Cardiogenic shock, American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines, and INTERMACS registries. He has strong interest in leveraging the latest technology and clinical trials to the benefit of his patients. ADHF service enrolls patients in heart failure, electrophysiologic, and structural clinical trials. Dr. Kesari and his wife, a palliative care/hospice physician, are raising two amazing children. He loves spending time with his family in activities such as biking, basketball, pickleball, swimming, yoga and meditation.
