Dr. Alsidawi sees patients with various types of benign and malignant hematologic or oncologic conditions. He focuses on building long-term relationships with his patients and empowering them to take charge of their cancer care. He encourages having constant, honest discussions with his patients and their family members to ensure that they have a full understanding of their condition and where they stand in their treatment. He believes that helping patients goes far beyond choosing the right treatment for them to include emotional support, helping them enjoy a great quality of life, and being their strongest advocate including at times where more treatment is not necessarily in their best interest.
Dr. Alsidawi’s practice focuses on treating head and neck cancer and blood cancers.
Treating head and neck cancer (cancer of the tongue, mouth, tonsils, throat and voice box) is challenging and requires intense multidisciplinary care by different specialties. Dr. Alsidawi is a co-leader of TriHealth Head and Neck Cancer Program, a group of physicians, nurses, therapists and staff members who take on the task of treating and coordinating the care of patients with head and neck cancer to get them through the cancer journey all the way to survivorship care that comes afterwards.
Dr. Alsidawi also specializes in treating patients with acute and chronic leukemias and lymphomas. Blood cancers affect patients of all ages and treatments can be long and intense. Dr. Alsidawi is part of a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, inpatient and outpatient nurses and other staff members who are fully dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care to all patients with blood cancers.
In his free time, Dr. Alsidawi enjoys traveling and trying different cuisines with his wife.
