Matthew Daggy, MD, specializes in primary care sports medicine. Prior to joining TriHealth, he developed Pinnacle Orthopaedics' Sports Medicine program from its inception. His love of sports medicine has led to numerous associations, including with several area high schools, the University of Cincinnati track program and the Flying Pig Marathon. In addition, he assists in research as an adjunct professor for Miami University's Department of Kinesiology and Health.
In the past, Dr. Daggy served as team physician for Wittenberg University, assisted team physicians at Xavier University and worked extensively with the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Cyclones. He currently serves as the team physician for Ross High School, Talawanda High School and Union County High School.
Dr. Daggy completed undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati in 1999 and medical school at the Wright State University School of Medicine in 2003. He followed with his Bethesda Family Practice residency in 2006 and a fellowship with Bethesda Sports Medicine in 2007. To further develop his comprehensive understanding of sports medicine, he has undergone additional training in the ImPACT Concussion Management Program. As a credentialed consultant, Dr. Daggy offers state-of-the-art expertise in scientifically based and validated concussion management in support of the safe return of athletes to their field of play.
