About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Palliative Medicine
  • Hematology
  • Medical Oncology

Driven by the desire to help people, Edward Crane, MD, decided to study medicine. He chose oncology as a specialty because he enjoys caring for the whole person and forming long-term relationships with his patients. He also found that cancer treatments are rapidly changing, with the need for constant updates and research, a challenge that he likes.

Dr. Crane and his staff strive to take care of patients as though they are family. He educates patients and their family about expectations, milestones and goals. He believes it is important to be a friend to patients, allowing them to share their problems or special moments. He encourages realistic optimism, always expecting good outcomes for his patients while being truthful about their situation.

In practice for over fifteen years, Dr. Crane also served as medical director and chief of staff for several local hospitals. He has received numerous awards, including the Unsung Hero award in 2015 from Cancer Family Care and the Man of the Year award in 2014 from the Tri-State Southern Ohio chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Dr. Crane is truly one of the best oncologists and care providers I have ever encountered. He is exceptionally personable, genuinely kind, and consistently attentive in a way that immediately puts patients at ease. His ability to listen deeply, explain clearly, and treat patients with empathy is remarkable.Working in medicine myself, I have interacted with many providers and Dr. Crane stands out among the very best. His compassionate approach, clinical expertise, and commitment to patient-centered care make a profound difference. I feel incredibly fortunate to have him involved in my care.
