  • Internal Medicine

Brent Bader, M.D. grew up in Columbus, Ohio and Lincoln, Nebraska.  He began considering the profession of a physician while in undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, OH.  Dr. Bader enjoyed biology and the sciences and contemplated a career in research and teaching but realized that he was more of a people person interested in service.  Dr. Bader completed medical school and residency training at the University of Missouri, in Columbia, MO. which has a strong emphasis and is nationally ranked for primary care.  Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Bader was honored to be selected as Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine Program which allowed him to teach as well as further his own studies.

Dr. Bader chose Internal Medicine for the challenge of learning about and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Being able to treat and help manage all a patient’s health concerns is satisfying to him. In practice in the Oxford area Dr. Bader has served as Chief of Staff at McCullough-Hyde Hospital as well as Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine and the ICU.  He has also served on the Butler County Health Department Board and the Medical Director for the Franklin County, IN. EMS service.

Dr. Bader’s wife is from Oxford and he grew up in college towns making Oxford a great fit.  He has enjoyed living and raising his three children in Oxford.

I could not have a better primary care physician. Besides my primary care physician I also visit 4 specialists and Dr. Bader is well acquainted and informed about my care with the other doctors. Easily, I can admit that five years ago Dr. Bader helped save my life when I was critically ill. He even visited me when I was in Bethesda North. A very caring, competent, thorough, well-informed personable doctor. He is always current on my health and proactive helping me to stay healthy now when I am about to turn 80. I am blessed to have him as my primary care physician here in Oxford with also the aid of MCHC hospital.

Dr Bader listened, guided discussion when I would get a bit far off track, offered suggestions and listened/heard mine. My entire list was addressed in good timing. He is excellent and I appreciate having him as my internist.
