After years working in a retail career, Anna Murphy,
AGACNP, felt a need to make a difference and chose
to attend nursing school in her 30s. She served as a
floor nurse in various departments for nine years before
earning her nurse practitioner accreditation. Since
2018, she has been dedicated to working with cardiac
patients, which she finds both challenging and fulfilling.
As a cardiothoracic surgery nurse practitioner, Anna
cares for patients before and after surgery using the
most current research and practices. She takes a holistic
approach to patient care, considering each individual’s
needs, desires and background to help them get
better. She likes learning about people and creates a
safe environment where her patients can feel free to
ask questions. She truly enjoys taking care of people.
Anna also encourages everyone to be vigilant about
medication regimes to optimize the healing process.
Originally from Dayton, OH, Anna is married. She loves
animals and has four dogs. She enjoys being out in
nature, gardening, tending her fish pond and walking.
