About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Vascular Surgery

Aaron Kulwicki, MD is skilled at vascular procedures ranging from the routine to the very complicated. One such difficult procedure is that of implanting a HeRO® Graft into renal patients who have exhausted all other means of access for their hemodialysis treatments. This graft is for patients who have fistulas or grafts that have failed or have a blockage in their blood vessels and prevents them from getting a fistula or graft. This procedure takes considerable endovascular skill to perform safely and easily. One of Dr. Kulwicki’s HeRO Graft patients describes his work as “perfection” and puts his caring personality on par with his medical expertise.

TriHealth has many leaders in the medical industry, which inspires Dr. Kulwicki to advance his vascular practice for the benefit of his patients. He and his partners have been the first in the nation to use certain devices. Eight years ago, Dr. Kulwicki was the first to bring a new kind of stent to Ohio patients. TriHealth vascular surgeons are great advocates for research and have participated in many national vascular studies; on some they are the only providers in the city to do so. This is medical leadership that Dr. Kulwicki wants to be a part of. Clinically, he and the other providers drive each other to learn new things, as well as introduce cutting edge technology for the benefit of their patients.

Dr. Kulwicki’s connection with the TriHealth Heart Institute Fellowship Training Program spurred him to return to TriHealth after a six-year stint working in Columbus, Ohio. He received his vascular fellowship training at the TriHealth Heart Institute at Good Samarian Hospital. “One of the biggest reasons I decided to return was the commitment to advanced technology and best practices followed by the vascular program here at TriHealth,” Dr. Kulwicki says. “It allows me to bring my best work to the patients and give them the greatest opportunity for a successful recovery.”

Dr. Kulwicki specializes in treatment of all types of problems of the vascular system, including:

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair • Aortic & lower extremity bypass • Carotid endarterectomy • Dialysis access placement • Endovascular surgery • Vascular ultrasound • Venous disease

Tackling complex problems, being inventive, and facing a challenge are what motivates Dr. Kulwicki, as well as his love for taking care of people. He addresses each patient with the same level of expert, compassionate care that he would provide to his own family. He looks forward to developing strong relationships with his patients.
