  • Family Medicine

Dr. Zi-Yang Liew chose a career in medicine after volunteering in several healthcare positions. Most notable were providing comfort at a hospice facility and reading to kids in the waiting room of a pediatric hospital. He found it very gratifying to help people at any stage of life and to make their experiences better.

As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Liew sees adults for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. He has a special interest in mental health, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. He also performs in-office procedures, such as muscle and joint injections, skin issues and minor surgeries. Dr. Liew takes a team-approach to care, working with his patients toward the best health status possible. He believes in open, direct and honest communication and accepts people of all backgrounds without judgment. Dr. Liew encourages everyone to be mindful of the food they eat and to strive for a work-life balance that allows for exercise and family time.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Liew is married and has two cats. He provides piano lessons for children as a way to share his love for music with the community. He enjoys singing, barbershop quartet, playing piano, cooking and playing video games.
