About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Critical Care Medicine
  • Pulmonology

As a child, Dr. Talha Nawaz drew inspiration from the dedication and compassion that his father, a physician, showed to his patients. He chose medicine to blend his passion for science and his desire to impact people’s lives, finding a deep sense of meaning and purpose in his role as a physician. He appreciates the combination of fast-paced critical care and the long-term relationships developed with his pulmonary patients.

As a board-certified pulmonary medicine physician, Dr. Nawaz provides comprehensive care for adult patients with complex diseases of the respiratory system, including the lungs, airways and blood vessels. He has a special interest in lung nodules and bronchoscopy. Dr. Nawaz believes in focusing on his patients, creating a welcoming and respectful environment where they can feel heard. He assures that patients fully understand any diagnosis and all options. He encourages everyone to not smoke and to practice healthy habits like weight loss and exercise.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Nawaz came to the United States for continued medical training. He and his wife have one daughter. He enjoys travel, especially to the National Parks, along with soccer and cricket.
