Growing up in North East Ohio, Susan Strick, M.D. became interested in medicine at an early age, volunteering as a candy striper at Akron City Hospital for several years in junior high and high school. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in English literature, she moved to Cincinnati to attend medical school at The University of Cincinnati and completed her pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She then joined QCP Pediatrics, now part of TriHealth Pediatrics, where she has worked ever since.
Dr. Strick truly enjoys working with children and their families. She says that she values the relationships she develops with children and their parents over the years. “It is an incredible gift to watch my patients grow and mature from infants to adolescents. I love watching their personalities and characters develop over time—and learning about their hobbies and talents and interests.” She takes care of children from birth through their teen years—routine well care and immunizations, acute and chronic illnesses, and has a special interest in nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
In her free time, Dr. Strick spends time outdoors, hiking or biking or gardening. She enjoys the arts and regularly attends performances at the Cincinnati Playhouse and Opera and Symphony. She has a special passion for travel—and has visited over 20 countries and 40 of the 50 states.
