As a first-generation college student, Dr. Shyla Dyer decided she really wanted to be the kind of doctor that her family members would trust with their care. She found that family medicine would be the best way to provide quality care through all stages of life. She loves the challenge of staying current with new approaches to medicine and constantly moving toward better care.
As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Dyer provides comprehensive care for all ages, from birth through geriatrics. She sees patients for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness, as well as the management of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Dyer likes to collaborate with her patients, giving guidance and direction, while involving them to find the best treatment plan for their personal needs. She provides a judgment-free zone where patients can be open and honest about their concerns.
Born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati, Dr. Dyer is married and has two rescue dogs. She loves gardening and maintains a large vegetable garden. She enjoys reading and supporting Cincinnati sports teams.
