Madeline Lucas, DMS, PA-C, saw at an early age the positive impact a compassionate caregiver can have on a patient. Spending time at hospitals with a brother who was ill spurred her interest in the human side of medicine. She developed an interest in gastroenterology (GI) during school as she learned more about how many symptoms and diseases can start in or affect the GI system.
As a certified physician assistant, Madeline sees adults for acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract, including reflux disease, celiac disease, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Her goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where patients can feel comfortable talking about their conditions. She wants them to feel understood and heard in a nonjudgmental space. Madeline likes to take time to explain the diagnosis and all options, working with her patients to agree on a treatment plan that fits their lives. She encourages everyone to prioritize preventive care and stay current on recommended screenings that have a huge impact on health.
A native of Seymour, IN, Madeline is excited to explore Cincinnati. She loves to read and has been playing violin since age 9.
