Watching her mother’s care team when she had cancer
impacted Dr. Lindsay Darkins’ decision to become
a physician herself. She appreciates the long-term
relationships that form as she cares for families through
all stages of life.
As a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Darkins
sees all ages for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment
of acute and chronic illness. She is also interested in
women’s health, along with lifestyle and obesity medicine.
She sees her role as an advocate for her patients as she
guides them through the health care process. She wants
her patients to feel comfortable asking questions and
sharing their concerns. Dr. Darkins encourages everyone
to find some kind of physical activity that brings them joy
and that they can do at least several times a week. She
likes to focus people on their health spans, assuring that
they can maintain independence as they age.
Dr. Darkins grew up in the Loveland area. During
residency, she volunteered on a mission trip to Belize and
would like to continue that rewarding work. She enjoys
being outside, hiking, kayaking and playing tennis. She
also loves to read and spend time creating healthy meals
for her loved ones.
