With a love of science and a desire to help others, Dr. Kayla Smith has always been interested in medicine. She was drawn to plastic surgery after seeing a mission trip documentary. She was impressed with how deeply plastic and reconstructive surgery can impact a person’s life, increasing confidence and enabling patients to live more fulfilled and abundant lives.
Dr. Smith sees patients age 16 and older for all types of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. She is passionate about breast reconstruction after cancer surgery. Dr. Smith likes to create an environment where her patients know that their desires are understood and valued. She helps her patients understand treatment options so they may work together to attain their goals. Dr. Smith encourages everyone to maintain a balanced diet with regular exercise to live better. She also advocates the routine use of sunscreen.
Dr. Smith has been involved with mentoring minority students interested in medicine. She also has participated in two mission trips to Colombia. She loves traveling, exploring new cities, trying new foods and reading new books. She also enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog, a maltipoo
