John M. Samol M.D. is a general obstetrician and gynecologist whose interests include normal & high-risk pregnancy care, contraceptive counseling, minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery and well-woman preventive care. He cares for obstetrics and gynecology patients for Group Health at the Mason and Kenwood office locations and at Bethesda North Hospital. He greatly values the physician-patient relationships and continuity with patients that are integral to Women's Health.

Dr. Samol has spent nearly 20 years at TriHealth, starting with his residency training in OBGYN at Good Samaritan Hospital from 2001-2005. He joined the Group Health OBGYN Department in 2009 and later was named Chairman of the Department of OBGYN at Bethesda North Hospital, a role he held from 2015 to 2018. He is also a member of the Active Teaching Staff in the TriHealth OBGYN Department, allowing him to regularly educate and mentor resident physicians during their training. In his free time, he enjoys: spending time with his wife and three active children; downhill skiing; and vacationing in Northern Michigan.

Dr. Samol does deliveries at Bethesda North Hospital.

    NPs need training in blood drawing. 2 of them weren't successful doing it. Had to go to an outside lab which is a waste of time that I don't have
