About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Infectious Diseases

Dr. Elias Fares likes to play detective, solving problems that may affect the whole body and working with other physicians to find a cure to an illness. As a board-certified infectious disease specialist, he comes to TriHealth with six years of experience at a health system in Pennsylvania, where he was division chief. He also served at Drexel University College of Medicine as an assistant professor.

Dr. Fares specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. He is particularly interested in joint and bone infections, central nervous system infections and travel medicine. He puts a priority on compassionate care, assuring that patients can feel comfortable sharing their concerns and trusting him to listen carefully. He encourages everyone to exercise first thing in the morning, emphasizing the need to take care of yourself first before attending to others.

Dr. Fares met his wife, also a physician, in medical school and they have one child. They moved to the United States for training and chose to make Cincinnati their home. He runs three miles every morning and loves to read.
