Dr. Amaresh Nath has always wanted to help people. He practiced internal medicine in India for six years before moving to Cincinnati in 1993 to study pulmonary and critical care medicine. He has been an associate professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University.
Dr. Nath sees adult patients for the treatment of respiratory and pulmonary system diseases. He has a special interest in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer. He also consults on critically ill patients. Dr. Nath takes a holistic approach with his patients, getting to know them and how their lives may impact treatment. He likes to explain his diagnosis thoroughly, discussing the details so patients fully understand treatment plans. He encourages them to ask questions. Dr. Nath recommends everyone pursue a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing that living well can help more than medications alone.
Dr. Nath is married to a Veterans Administration physician. They have three grown daughters; two are physicians and the third is in business. He loves tennis and travel.
