TriHealth, Cincinnati’s nationally recognized health care system, is excited to announce that, following an extensive national search and selection process, Todd Anderson has been named the system’s next Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Todd has more than 25 years of progressive health care finance leadership experience, including serving as CFO for Mercy Health Corporation, a seven-hospital health system caring for 2.4 million patients in Illinois and Wisconsin, since 2020. Prior to Mercy, Todd served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Kettering Health in Dayton from 2011-2020. His broad experience and strong track record of success include executive leadership of all aspects of health care financial operations, including managed care, revenue cycle and pharmacy operations.
“Todd has distinguished himself over the last two-and-a-half decades as an industry leader within health care with a unique understanding of the financial stewardship necessary to enable a health system to thrive and carry out its mission in the face of economic headwinds,” said TriHealth President and CEO Mark C. Clement. “Todd will be a great fit for the TriHealth culture and vision to Get Health Care Right by ensuring we are in the best position to continue to invest in our people, technology and facilities to provide the Cincinnati community the very best health care available.”
Todd will bring a deep understanding of the complex health care industry and competitive health care landscape in Southwest Ohio. This will enable him to make an immediate impact for TriHealth, further advancing the health system’s ability to serve residents in and around the Cincinnati area.
“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to join TriHealth, a highly respected industry leader,” Todd said. “TriHealth has distinguished itself as an innovative health care provider sharply focused on transforming health care for the better by adopting care and financing models aimed at improving health and making care more affordable. I’m excited to partner with TriHealth’s team members, physicians, and leaders as we work toward Getting Health Care Right.”
Todd was selected following a review process that considered more than two dozen highly accomplished potential candidates. Ultimately Todd’s background as an accomplished and experienced finance leader along with a belief in TriHealth’s mission and commitment to deliver surprisingly human care resulting in the best health outcomes distinguished him as the best candidate. His anticipated start date will follow the holidays.
He replaces Andrew DeVoe, who left TriHealth in February. Since then, Mike Crofton has served as TriHealth’s interim CFO.
