Giving the Grieving Process a Chance: Adrienne’s Angel Suite Story

Losing a child during the birthing process is a heartbreaking experience no parent ever expects to face. Yet that was the reality for TriHealth patient Adrienne Pettigrew in September 2024.

Despite the difficulty of the outcome, Adrienne was able to get the time with her son, Chance, that she needed before saying goodbye in Good Samaritan Hospital's Angel Suite—a special room for parents grieving the loss of a baby during or prior to delivery. Her resilient and inspiring attitude is helping keep her present in her life for her other children.

"That was really comforting to know that we had a place to have some more privacy and be able to grieve how we needed to while in the hospital," Adrienne said about the experience.
